Creating a Healthy Morning Routine: How You Can Create A Routine That Nourishes The Soul And Boosts Energy

Morning Routine

You might have heard that a healthy body is a healthy mind. You may not have thought about it, but it is 100% true. Creating a healthy morning routine is imperative, and do you know an unhealthy routine can result in depression, anxiety, and obesity? With this informative piece, you can make your routine healthy and tackle all the negative repercussions of a bad routine.

  1. Wake Up Early

An early bird gets a worm; you must have heard this in childhood. You would not get a worm but can experience a ray of lovely sunshine. Waking up early helps you regulate your body's internal clock and makes it easier to feel refreshed.

  2. Hydration

After waking up, remember to have a glass of water, especially in summer. As it's hot and your body can be hydrated, you fulfil the body requirement of being hydrated after a glass of water. Remember, a lack of water also makes you feel sleepy and lazy.

  3. Exercise

Light exercising in the morning can help your body's blood flow, and incorporating stretching exercises in it can help your muscles not be stiff and prevent cramps.

  4. Healthy Breakfast

Fruits, vegetables, grain, and lean protein are enough for your body to function properly. A healthy breakfast should incorporate all of these; only having an oily breakfast can adversely affect your body and increase your cholesterol levels.

  5. Journaling

You might have heard this term before. It's a practice to write things that come to mind on paper. It would be best to focus on writing positive things like your future goals and how to accomplish them. It will not just be writing but refreshing your mind and helping you focus on your daily tasks.

  6. Digital Detoxification

Some people have a habit of opening emails or checking their inboxes as soon as they wake up. It basically increases the stress. For instance, you wake up and start checking your manager's reminder emails, so you will not be able to refresh your mind, and it will increase your stress levels. So, never open emails or check your cell phone when you wake up.

  7. Family and Friends

If you live with your family or friends, spend some time with them as soon as you wake up. You can have a cup of tea or coffee with them and have breakfast together. It will be much better if you exercise with your loved ones; it will also make your body, mind, and relationships healthy.

  8. Plan Your Day

After all the things mentioned above, you should plan your day, like what you will do after one hour and how you will attempt your tasks. For instance, if you have 5 tasks pending in an office, you should prioritize and attempt the most critical tasks. After office, what will you do? Will you meet any of your friends? Or go to your sibling's house? Etc. Plan your whole day at this time; remember not to take a lot of time to think about this; about 5-10 minutes are enough.

A healthy body and mind are imperative for a healthy life. You cannot achieve your goals unless your mind and body support you, and in this stressful environment, tackling depression, anxiety, and frustration is a lot more challenging. Still, with a healthy routine, you can tackle all of these!
