Is therapy right for me?

We believe therapy is for everyone. Whether you’re hoping to reduce symptoms of severe mental illness or increase daily well-being, there is space for you here. Please contact us to begin therapy now.

What is the difference between a licensed and pre-licensed therapist?

Licensed therapists have met all state requirements to hold and maintain a professional license in counseling. The process of getting licensed in mental health counseling takes years of education, thousands of supervised clinical hours, successful completion of the state licensing exam and ongoing continued education in the field. Licensed therapists have earned their credentials and often have niches and specialties.

Pre-licensed therapists have completed therapy internships and earned their graduate degree, but they have not yet met requirements to possess a professional license. They continue to meet with a clinical supervisor. They typically cost more than interns but less than licensed therapists. Licensed clinicians are almost always more expensive than their unlicensed colleagues, but you will likely notice the difference experience brings.

How long does therapy last?

Everyone is unique and has different backgrounds and goals. Often significant progress can be made within six to eight sessions. Some clients see progress sooner, but others need time to work through layers that can be affecting their mental health. We are committed to providing tools to equip you beyond your sessions to meet your goals and continue your progress long after sessions have ended.

What is your cancelation policy?

All sessions must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance or the cancelation fee will be charged. You can reschedule or cancel your appointment in the Grow Therapy portal.
